Summary of Role:
Mainstream Renewable Power is looking for a Plant Manager to be in charge of operations of VALLE ESCONDIDO Photovoltaic Power Plant. The role will be responsible of all the activities related to the day-to-day operations at sites when assets are delivered to operational phase. It will involve managing several contractors both in technical aspects, as well as its performance in terms of health, safety and environmental.
What you will do?
Manage O&M Photovoltaic Power Plant contractor
Manage O&M BoP contractor
Manage the rest of plants contractors
Prepare/review daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports, containing the main aspects of plant operations
Assure that contractors are performing as minimum according with the KPIs describe in their contracts, especially regarding availability of facilities, health and safety plans, and environmental requirements
Assure that all contractors are complying with all the applicable Health and Safety requirements related to operating assets
Assure that all contractors are complying with all the applicable Environmental requirements.
Assure that all the instructions from Control Center are properly followed by contractor and that all the interventions requests are properly submitted to the Control Center and from Control center to CEN
In coordination with Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager, review the scheduling for maintenance of the plant to minimize downtime.
Rise any issue regarding operations, abnormalities, H&S, environmental, communities or other that could mean a drawback for MRP.
Take or order to contractors any actions necessary to solve urgent fault conditions that can cause damage to people or equipment if not solve immediately.
If necessary, be the first contact point between local community / local authority /landowners, and MRP Management Team
What we require?
Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineer, or equivalent, with over 8 years of experience in the operation of wind farms or photovoltaic Plants.
Deep understanding of the main components of a Wind / Solar Power Plant.
Understanding of main Key Performance indicators in a Wind / Solar Power Plant.
Demonstrable experience operating with Control Centers.
Demonstrable experience dealing with landowners in similar plants or projects.
Excellent skills working under pressure, attention to details, not losing the broader scope.
Organized, efficient and good at prioritizing tasks, delivering on time and quality.
Excellent IT skills, including experience with MS Office package and Sharepoint.
English language is an advantage.
