Summary of the role:

This role will review market analysis, understand main risks and opportunities, synergies, prepare financial models to valuate companies and run different business scenarios, prepare presentations and reports to the Senior Management Team in Chileand Dublin, and participate in presentations to Senior Management and Shareholders. The role will provide significant exposure to Mainstream Senior Management and Shareholders, Investment Banking players, Banks, Tier one advisors and firsthand interaction with counter parties across the power sector (including developers and industrial customers, among others). The candidate must have strong financial knowledge and desirable experience in the energy sector. The role will also support Mainstream’s other global markets as required. The role could require travel to other Mainstream offices and other countries in the region (Panama, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Colombia, Perú, USA, among others).

Role Responsabilities:

• Support the M&A & New Investments Manager to identify M&A opportunities, among others as needed
• Understand, modify, manage and summarize insights from highly complex financial models for renewable energy projects and companies
• Take responsibility for structural integrity and functionality of models including accounting, tax and regulatory requirements of various global markets
• Integral analysis of potential opportunities, running different investment scenarios, identify opportunities and synergies with potential partners
• Prepare Valuations of projects and companies
• Prepare presentations and reports to the M&A & New Investments Manager and to the Senior Management Team in Chile and Dublin, and Shareholders.
• Participate in due diligence processes including coordination with external advisors and other Mainstream areas.
• Work internally as part of multi-functional teams to assess markets and projects as required.
• Clear financial analysis and communication of results for internal and external parties.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft suite (in particular Excel).

Knowledge and skill requirements for the role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or similar.

• Strong financial knowledge and experience.

• Renewable energy or wider energy industry experience is desirable, but not essential.

• An eye for detail and proactive approach to analysis, intellectual curiosity, good mathematical credentials and ability

• Proficient with MS Excel and MS Office Suite

• Ability to analyses qualitative & quantitative information for decision making

• Must be self-motivated and with ambitious profile

• Strong communication skills

• Flexibility to Travel as required

• Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
