Mainstream Renewable Power is a leading developer of renewable energy projects worldwide focusing on onshore and offshore wind projects as well as emerging renewable technologies. Mainstream will construct and operate renewable energy assets globally and is committed to delivering its projects to the highest safety standards.

What are we looking for?

This position will be responsible for the Asset and Investment Management of Andes Renovables platform. The main responsibility will be to administer from an investment perspective the construction, operation, commercial and financing aspects of the Platform.

What Challenges will you face?

• The main goal will be to optimize the portfolio on all key drivers PPAs, Capex, OPEX, Financing Structure, Investment or Divestment of Assets, etc. Also, you will be in charge of the administration of the Project Finance agreements, eg. control of covenants, present to the banks, waivers and consents, managing reporting requirements, monitor the compliance of material project documents within others.

• You will play a key role in the process to find an equity partner for the portfolio. Finally, you will need to comply with reporting requirements for the corporate finance team and shareholders. It´s key for this role to have a close relationship with the different areas in Mainstream (Commercial, Construction, Operations, Project Finance, Treasury, etc.

• Responsibility for the performance from an investment perspective of Andes Renovables Platforms in Latam.

• Analyse and administer the revenues of the platforms, analysing together with the Energy Market team the Energy balances (Commercial Margin), invoices, collections, bonds & fines, manage the different stakeholders, etc..

• Propose strategies to improve the revenues and protect the Platforms from change in regulation.

• To analyse and be a key decision maker in terms of the strategies and decisions to be made in the platforms from a construction and operational perspective always contributing with a view from an investment perspective.

• Responsibility of the administration of AR financing. Key tasks are managing the lenders and advisors, waivers and consents, reporting requirements, etc.

• Responsible to explore refinancing alternative to optimize the performance of the Asset and interest rate hedging strategies

• The role will require full coordination with Construction, O&M, Finance, Legal and Commercial teams.

• Responsible to prepare reports for Senior Management in relation to the performance of the assets (Commercial Margin, Waivers Presentation Updates, Provide key inputs to the FP&A team for the finance monthly reports, participate in construction/operation SteerCo, update weeky reports, etc.)

What knowledge do you require?

Educational, knowledge and experience background

• Professional qualification required, degree in engineering, business administration or similar relevant professional formation that fits for the position

• 10 years + experience to combine professional training and work experience in practice in a multinational company, operational companies,

• Relevant financial background to be able to administrate the financing, managing lenders and close interaction with lawyers and banks

• Background and experience in energy business, understanding of the Chilean and/or international electrical business environment

• Experience with international / multinational companies, reporting to corporate headquarters

• Experience in dealing with regulatory authorities.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with flexibility and adaptability required.

• Proven ability to manage a broad workload with shifting priorities and deadlines.

• Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative.

• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail. Keen attention to detail is required with the ability to work without constant supervision

• Flexibility to travel

• A high level of spoken and written Spanish and English is mandatory.
