Mainstream Renewable Power is a leading developer of renewable energy projects worldwide focusing on onshore and offshore wind projects as well as emerging renewable technologies. What are we looking for?
Planning and reporting across the Latin American operations by aligning detailed financial analysis with strategic objectives. This role encompasses managing the latam budgeting process and ensuring its strategic coherence, as well as producing accurate financial forecasts and reports for informed decision-making. The aim is to create a streamlined and efficient financial planning system that supports the company’s growth and compliance, fosters operational efficiency, and mitigates financial risks. Ultimately, this role is focused on adding value to every financial process, thereby driving sustainable growth and solidifying the company’s market leadership in the renewable energy sector in Latin America.
What Challenges will you face?
- Coordinate the continuous improvement in Finance analysis, consistency of data across the business and planning the strategies for Latam accordingly.
- Coordinate the corporate budget process for latam and drive discussions with latam staff and partners regarding budget revenues and spend and challenge as appropriate.
- Preparation of the weekly and monthly cash forecast template and weekly cash summary report for the Group Finance team and the CFO.
- Review and consolidation of calculations of projected plus historic costs of projects cash flow forecasting purposes.
- Preparation and review of latam Platform management accounts, analysis and commentary; Coordination, preparation and review of the monthly Performance review section for latam
- Coordination, preparation, and review of the Monthly Performance Review LATAM for the MLT.
- Providing relevant and timely reports (including costs to complete each phase of each project) and supporting information to the Asset manager, cost control team and project managers for the financial management of the development, construction, and operations processes as requested.
- Lead the digital transformation processes as required by the Corporate team.
- Lead cost control initiatives as requested by the Corporate team.
- Implementation of new apps or systems of financial planning or analysis for Latam, as requested by the Corporate team, as well as actively proposing and implementing improvements.
- Assisting in the preparation of Risk and Investment Committee papers to document and obtain approval for material project spends or risks assumed.
- Supporting the external audit for the Latam region as may be required.
- Taking an active role in reviewing and improving controls for the Latam Business, as well as in cost analysis.
- Taking a lead role in ad hoc projects as required.
What knowledge do you require?
Educational, knowledge and experience background
- Commercial/Industrial Engineer or a Finance degree, with at least 8 years of experience in FP&A or related.
Experience
- Experience in the energy industry desired.
- Experience in a multinational company, working with Corporate teams desired.
- Experience in accounting analysis, IFRS knowledge preferred.
- Experience in presentations of financial information, identifying KPIs and business drivers.
- Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative, multi-task and meet challenging deadlines.
Language skills
- Intermediate English required.
Other Skills
- As well as having the above financial accounting-based training and experience, the candidate must also be strong in coordination skills.
- High levels of energy and motivation, with a track record of delivery.
- Strong organisation, communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Flexibility to work on a broad range of projects.
- Flexibility to travel. The role will be based in Santiago, but may also require travel to other Latam markets and Dublin.
