Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and will assist the Senior Civil Engineer with all engineering activities within their given brief. The ideal candidate is expected to pro-actively oversee external engineering design teams as part of Li-Cycle’s owner’s engineering team. Immediate civil engineering support will be dedicated to Li-Cycle’s Commercial Hub 1 project in Rochester, NY. Throughout the design process the Civil Engineer will review designs for accuracy and efficiency to construct a safe and economical facility. During the construction phase the Civil Engineer will make frequent site visits to monitor construction progress, assist with contractor questions and support checkout and commissioning activities. A desire to develop a broad knowledge across all aspects of civil, structural, and architectural engineering designs for industrial manufacturing facilities is required.
