_**ABOUT THE ROLE
3Degrees helps organizations around the world implement renewable energy, transportation decarbonization, and other climate solutions. To support our rapid growth and remain at the forefront of the energy transition, offering products and solutions to corporate and utility customers worldwide; we are looking for an experienced product development executive with broad software-platform development experience and multiple successes to lead the next phase in 3Degrees’ technology evolution.
This role is designed for a strategic leader reporting to the CEO and chartered with establishing a broad product vision that builds upon current product initiatives and expanding market opportunities. In this role, you will build and lead a new division for the company and will have responsibility for Development Engineering, Product Management and Product Marketing for products focused on transforming the digital experiences for our customers. In this role you will lead the teams responsible for internal tools/systems to advance the technical capabilities of our business. The role will also partner with internal groups (e.g.,Sales, Integrated Marketing and Business Units) and report regularly to the executive staff and board of directors regarding progress.
This role is preferably located in San Francisco, CA, Portland, OR or Portland, ME. For highly qualified candidates this role may be located in a remote home office anywhere in the United States, with a willingness to travel for training and collaboration.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Own the product vision, development of technology strategy, and success metrics for customer-facing technology products; review and approve development roadmap taking into consideration of stakeholder/market requirements, competitive environment and development trade-offs
Keep abreast of user requirements, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities, and prevent organizational silos
Vet and approve business models, messaging and GTM approaches, and establish business expectations regarding revenue, margins, subscriber growth, churn, etc.
Interface regularly with internal and external stakeholders such as vendors and customers to ensure alignment on strategy, design, development roadmap, and expectations; lead regular operations reviews with executive staff and cross-functional teams to highlight your strategy, development progress and market successes
Build a top-talent team to fill key roles in functional areas; establish clear deliverables – including stretch goals – and manage to those expectations; leverage 3rd-party resources where and when required to ensure execution commitments are met
Execution of strategic projects focused on internal tools/systems which may include rolling out new Sales or Finance tools (e.g., Salesforce CRM, NetSuite, etc.), or enhancing/developing specific capabilities that are either customer/partner facing or developments that support business operations.
Partner with the corporate development organization on potential partnerships; act as the executive lead for 3rd-party development and ecosystem technology partners
Potential to accompany CEO on press, industry analyst and on investor briefings
Advocate and reinforce 3Degrees’ culture and values, and work constantly to rally and align other organizations in the company around your vision
