Century International Policy Associate

New York, New York | Start date: June 12, 2023 or ASAP | Salary: $65,000

Century International is looking for a full-time policy associate as we expand our programming and extend our reach to an Arabic-speaking audience. We have launched new programs on governance, climate, rights, and political economy in the Middle East-North Africa region, and are continuing our fieldwork-driven research into progressive international policy.

Based in New York, the policy associate will help administer our programs on governance, climate, and political economy; oversee our Arabic-language publications and online presence; assist with our social media presence and podcast production; conduct research and produce original writing; and other tasks. The associate will report to Century International director Thanassis Cambanis. Century International is the international policy center at The Century Foundation.

The position is based in TCF’s New York City office. TCF offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience as well as competitive benefits.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Middle East policy issues
• Comfortable working in Arabic
• Experience writing about international policy and/or the MENA region
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated
• Strong attention to project management, coordination, and organizing abilities
• Strong writing and communication skills, ideally for both expert and popular audiences
• Curiosity and a strong desire to learn
