Cell separation DSP specialist filtration/centrifugation

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and talented Cell separation DSP specialist to join our Process development team. As a Cell separation DSP specialist you will work with a multifunctional team performing experiments into different aspects of cultured meat with a focus on separation of cells and recovery of proteins.

In the role of Cell separation DSP specialist, you will focus on performing experiments in our R&D facility, or support tech transfer and production at external sites. You will also perform analysis and reporting of results, and make sure process documentation is complete and up-to-date. You will be leading and performing your own experiments, but you might also be asked to support experiments led by others.

In order to be successful in this role you need to be able to work independently, but also communicate effectively with different teams to reach a common goal. You have a good practical and scientific background, but also get enthusiastic about thinking outside-the-box to find a solution. You need to a curious mindset, determination and a sense of humor to cope with unexpected changes and work in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

• Design of experiments
• Running experiments at laboratory or pilot plant scale
• Report and documentation of results
• Presenting results to an interdisciplinary team
• Point of contact with equipment suppliers

Qualifications

• MSc, EngD/PDEng, or PhD with +1 year (industry) laboratory experience in centrifugation and/or filtration
• Affinity with laboratory work (hands-on)
• Willingness to travel abroad (<20% of the time)
• Nice to have:
  • experience with bioreactors (mammalian cells and large scales is a plus)
  • experience with protein separation (centrifugation/filtration)
  • experience with pilot plant cell separation (centrifugation/filtration)
