Carbon Projects Coordinator

C-Quest Capital LLC (CQC) is a leading global carbon project developer, social impact investor, and climate finance specialist. Our mission is to transform the lives of families in the poorest communities in developing countries by providing access to clean and sustainable energy solutions and improving the health and well-being of women and children. We do this through making investments in carbon reduction and removal programs, which provide clean and efficient energy appliances, small-scale agriculture, and forestry services to the rural poor. We generate carbon credits from our projects and generate revenue from the sale of these credits through our dedicated Commercial division.

CQC’s carbon programs have improved the lives of over 20 million people in Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Central America. Our ambition is to reach over 175 million people by 2035. We have successfully raised substantial funding to be able to make our ambition a reality.

The Role

The Carbon Projects Coordinator will report to the Director of Carbon Asset Management and help compile, track, and manage project data across CQC’s portfolio. This position offers the opportunity to learn a great deal about the carbon market and contribute to the effective delivery of high value mitigation outcomes.

Location

USA, Remote (Eastern Time preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist in compiling data and tracking progress for all projects across the portfolio
• Synthesize project information into tables and data sets for reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
• Work collaboratively to help fortify and streamline internal business processes across departments to optimize project workflow and carbon asset delivery
• Learn and demonstrate the effective use of CQC accounts under Verra, Gold Standard, and other registries
• Draft and submit project documentation to the registries
• Prioritize project workflows based on importance/urgency

Relevant Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least three years professional experience preferred, with demonstrated ability in project management and/or business administration
• Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
• Database or registry experience a plus
• An interest in climate change, the carbon market, and helping the rural poor in less developed countries in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
