Why would I want to work for our call centre?
The basic idea of this role is to chat to members of the public over the phone about our life-saving charity work. It's awesome because we are essentially storytellers: we get to tell amazing stories about how we have helped people living in poverty, and how they can make a difference. It's really inspiring stuff. Being a charity fundraiser on the phones means we have spent the day raising funds for a worthy cause, not a corporate company, and it's a great feeling knowing we are making a genuine difference in fighting poverty and challenging injustice.
It's all about the people
We offer a fun environment with like-minded people we play games throughout the day to keep up the energy and have a break from it all, we have competitions & incentives and make good friends. You would be well supported in your new role with Senior Fundraisers and a Supervisor to offer advice and coaching support. We are dedicated to making you be great at the job, and many people go on to more senior positions in the contact centre or in other areas of Oxfam Aotearoa's team. We are striving for a team-player culture and to build on an exciting and fun team atmosphere.
