Program/Department Overview
In our work, we strive to ensure that all Californians have access to an affordable, clean and safe electric system. Our advocacy focuses on the intersection of regulatory work in the state’s integrated resource planning, transmission planning and legislative priorities to reduce barriers to clean energy infrastructure coming online.
Overall Function
Under the direction of the Director, California Energy Program, the intern will support the rapid decarbonization of the state by helping to make the case to bring online new clean energy infrastructure (both generation and transmission assets). The intern will also support the development of our engagements in expanding the footprint of the California grid into a western wide region. The intern will provide overall regulatory and legislative support, including providing summaries of submitted comments and first drafts of our proposals, and helping track open positions on key legislative priorities.

Compensation
This internship would involve compensation for work paid at a rate competitive with leading non-profits at $17/hr.
