The Role: Sensus, a Xylem brand, is seeking to hire a Business Systems Analyst to join their Morrisville based Professional Services team. As a member of the Sensus Professional Services Team, the analyst will work with Utility customers to gather and document software and integration requirements as well as use cases. This individual will work closely with the customers to ensure that design and deliverables are meeting requirements and expectations. The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, fluid environment. This individual will have experience interacting with clients and software development teams.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Meet with Utility customers to gather and document requirements and use cases for data access and share best practices for obtaining the required information.
- Act as a liaison between business users, software engineering and distributor partners
- Assist Utility customers accessing and using data stored within Xylem systems.
- Manage software and integration projects from planning through implementation
- Coordinate activities and ensure effective communication to Utility customers, distributor partners and within project team
- Facilitate adoption of the Scrum framework, may include daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
- 2 years’ customer facing experience
- Working knowledge of BI tools such as Apache Superset and Power BI
- Excellent Planning and organizational skills - the ability to manage many projects at varying stages of progress.
- Strong requirements gathering – The ability to accurately document a customer’s concerns or requests for functionality, including use case development and Statements of Work (SOW)
- Excellent Communication skills - the ability to communicate project requirements and status to the Utility, Distributors and Vendors.
- Strong Presentation Skills - The ability to communicate data access concepts and details to Utility customers of varying skill levels
- Ability to take on responsibility and function under minimal supervision.
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and dashboards preferred.
- Hands on experience with Agile processes, principles and values with software development teams preferred.
