Now more than ever, growing local food to build resiliency and security is top of mind in Canada and around the world. Growcer is on the precipice of exponential growth with the power to influence this high-stakes narrative. We are seeking a marketing leader to usher us into this next stage.

Growcer is Canada's largest indoor modular vertical farm solution, working with communities and organizations across North America. To date, we’ve launched more than 100 projects, an innovative fund to lower the capital barrier, and a foundation to further social impact. Coupled with a few more big ambitions, Growcer is ideally positioned to become a household name in the food security space and help Canada build a resilient food system.

About the Role

As Business Operations Analyst – Funding Services, you will support three critical pillars of Growcer’s growth and impact: enabling clients to access funding, developing compelling and accurate sales proposals, and delivering consulting services that support the successful implementation of client projects.

This is a dynamic, cross-functional role at the intersection of funding strategy, sales operations, and service delivery. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure our clients are well-positioned for success from initial proposal through to project launch.

  • Draft and submit grant proposals and funding applications, tailoring content to program criteria and customer needs.

  • Maintain Growcer’s internal database of funding programs and key metrics (e.g. success rate, total funding applied for).

  • Build and nurture relationships with funding agencies, project partners, and grant consultants.

  • Track and report on performance indicators for Growcer’s Funding Support Services.

  • Leverage AI tools to facilitate funding program research and accelerate grant writing capacity.

Proposal & Quote Development

  • Assist the sales team with preparing tailored sales proposals and RFP responses for institutional clients.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical, operational, and impact-related content for proposals.

  • Review quotes and pricing packages to ensure accuracy, alignment with scope, and up-to-date cost inputs.

Consulting & Implementation Support

  • Support the delivery of Growcer’s consulting services by coordinating project planning and execution for client implementations.

  • Assist in the development of client deliverables such as implementation plans, stakeholder engagement memos, or project milestones tracking.

  • Liaise with clients post-sale to ensure alignment on project goals, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

  • Help track client success metrics and contribute to knowledge-sharing across teams to continuously improve service delivery.

Growcer

Growcer thegrowcer.ca

Growcer is a socially minded company empowering communities to grow fresh, hyper-local produce year-round through its hydroponic modular farms.

Growcer was created to make growing healthy food year-round in any climate possible, based on the firsthand experience of our founders in Nunavut in 2015. Our growing technology was first deployed in food insecure, remote communities, but we’ve expanded to partner with schools, nonprofits, and non-remote communities who see value in growing food locally.

To date, communities and institutions have used Growcer farms to grow more than a million servings of local, nutritious greens across Canada.
