The Business Development Manager- Hydro Turbines

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will drive the growth of Xylem’s hydro turbines portfolio. You will develop current and new applications and market segments for this portfolio and work with a variety of stakeholders across product management, applications engineering, local sales, and marketing.

You will be responsible for scanning the market to identify the segments that will deliver the best chances of growth for this product line. You will work in collaboration with the local sales teams to help them identify potential markets and customers for the product, and develop a full solutions-based offering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the hydro turbines market in collaboration with the sales and applications engineering team
  • Identify new market opportunities for hydro turbines
  • Develop and implement the go-to-market approach
  • Participate in the development of the hydro turbines business strategy covering both product line improvements and commercial roadmaps
  • Provide input to hydro turbines marketing activities and launch campaigns with the marketing team to drive growth
  • Drive initiatives for support in developing new consulting, technical advisory, engineering and project services business for hydro turbines
  • Develop knowledge of renewable energy and green financing for hydropower and other renewable energy sources and communicate to the customer
  • Establish and maintain high-level client contacts and networks
  • Follow-up performance of projects during execution to ensure client satisfaction
  • Be part of our project teams with your own contributions in your field of expertise

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must be a self-starter with the ability to drive by influence. You have the ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, fluid environment. We believe you have experience in interacting with clients and envisioning the best solution for them.

  • Minimum a bachelor's degree in a suitable field of study.
  • Strong experience working in a sales-driven position (preferably B2B sales in an international environment)
  • Strong technical interest with a commercial mindset and customer orientation
  • Ability to work independently, proactive approach as well as very good negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast pace environment and flexible to adapt to changes.
