Objective of the role
As our Business Development Manager (BDM) you will support in driving the strategy & development of Supply Chain Services including supply chain audit and assessment programmes with focus on quality, social and food safety, ESG/Sustainability supply chain services and digital solutions such are track & trace, circularity & transparency. You would be working on longer term growth in supply chain services in relation of our other service lines such as industrial product assurance and medical Health & technology.
In this role you will get the opportunity to work across our global regions. You will work with the team in developing our business together with key stakeholder and key customers in relevant industry sectors such as F&B, FMCG, Automotive. Supporting & developing the regions to ensure targeted budget & profitability is met is also within the scope of the job.
This involves collaboration with the sales network supporting large tenders to ensure a global approach. You will also work on identifying and developing new service offerings based on sector knowledge & experience in social audits, F & B and supply chain activities including training services.
Tasks may include:
- Developing & supporting business with new key customer programmes
- Support sales colleagues related to tenders and customer proposals
- Participate to workshops, meetings and external events
- Development of website content and other marketing materials from s subject matter expert perspective
- Ability to track power BI reports monitoring revenue & EBITA from SC activities
- Undertake projects as identified during the year
- Building commercial business case for new service development
- Monitoring existing services growth and/or decline
- Leverage expertise to train/coach network in services
- Monitor and drive sales pipeline in service line area
- Stakeholder engagement to position DNV in the market
- Working with both the SC and technical teams to develop content in the knowledge portal & DMS procedures
- Monitor and assess the market ready for new service developments
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate professional experience preferred
- Relevant business experience in supply chain management
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing supply chain management assessment schemes in the TIC industry
- Experience of global markets in sectors such as food, manufacturing, Retail, Pharma, Automotive
- Knowledge of supply chain services including SMETA/Social Audits and ESG services
- Experience of working in a global organisation with strong communication skills across countries and regions
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to build an internal network of collaboration
- Demonstrable experience of operational issues and ability to drive process-based improvements
