We focus on access to health products and services in underserved communities through a three-part model. We’ve built an app that works offline, operating in rural areas to equip community health workers to form a network of field agents. They collect data on health needs, which is used to design and implement targeted awareness and screening campaigns and enable supply of affordable medicines and products to rural pharmacies and stores, and we are now looking for someone to help grow the range of products and partners that we will help commercialize and distribute in low- and middle-income settings.

Who are we looking for?

Title: Business Development Manager

Start Date:  February 2025

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to:  Chief Access Officer

reach52 is seeking a Business Development Manager, that will support reach52’s mission to improve access to healthcare for 52% of the world, who currently cannot access it.  You will be responsible for overall fundraising, the identification of donors with relevant priorities, and the identification of innovative products that can be distributed through our network.

The core role scope and responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Building an engagement strategy for potential clients, customers, and donors.
  • Networking and leading engagements with stakeholders in India
  • Identification of the appropriate people and partners
  • Initiation of contact and relationship management
  • Proposal generation and report writing
  • Follow regular virtual and in-person visit cadence with key targets to build reputation and establish branding.
  • Drive targets and KPIs, generating pipeline, partnerships and revenue.
  • Support engagements for senior leadership within reach52, ensuring the most effective utilisation of their visits.
  • Identify the right conferences and events and lead engagements with partners

Who you are (probably!)

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the life sciences sector, private or non-profit
  • Experience with the fundraising and networking
  • Knowledge of Indian CSR and donor networks
  • Understanding of India’s innovative healthcare sector
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong networking capability and desire
