Xylem seeks to hire a Business Analyst, Vertical Marketing, Europe.

Role and responsibilities:

• Defines, gathers, analyzes and organizes the various data sets related to competing solutions to the Xylem offer, and proposes corrective action to attain corporate objectives regarding market share, revenues, margins and growth rates
• Provide the analysis of data to assist with industry reporting and market research such as GWI, Omdia, Bluefield and Frost&Sullivan
• Contributes in VOC activities in regards to analysis of the data and presentation of the outcome
• Contributes in gathering and analyzing data required for the XPD Toll Gate process for products and solutions as they apply to Europe
• Contributes to pricing and proposal activity through analysis of financial customer, market and product data
• Assists in gathering input to forecasts for revenue and planning purposes
• Delivers presentations to executive management.

Skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, MBA is appreciated

• 2+ years’ experience in product management or business analysis, ideally in a utility environment

• Language skills include English and at least another European language (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Slavic languages…)

• Similar experience with and understanding of market and financial business data in a corporate environment, using tools such as SAP, PLM software, Excel etc

• Ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly

• Ability to take initiatives that are sustained through exchanges and dialogue.

• Exceptional organizational, planning, documentation and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and professionally across a wide range of constituencies

• Experience in a fast-paced matrixed technical organization

• Ability to work independently while responding to changing business and technical conditions

• Infrequent travel to be expected, to Xylem locations in EMEA (typically less than 30%).

• Flexibility towards working times, locations and hours
