We recently became an accredited higher education institution in South Africa and launched a game-changing mobile app that offers self-paced, bite-sized modules to help teachers in their professional development journey. More than 50,000 teachers in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria have already enrolled in our professional development modules and joined a pan-African community of peers and experts who provide support and feedback along the way.
We are looking to hire a Brand & Marketing Associate to drive brand, marketing, and communications to users on our professional development app; Upskill, and launch our higher education offerings.

What does the role entail?
As the Brand and Marketing Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the executing our brand, marketing, and communications strategy. The Associate’s role is centered around growing our brand reputation, user experience & sales, and engagement strategies.
As the Brand Associate you will;
- Support the organisation’s marketing team and the in-country sales teams in increasing brand visibility, unifying our brand across all channels, increasing social media presence across multiple platforms, updating and increasing traffic to our website, and creating an editorial calendar for content marketing
- Execute the remote community building strategy to drive the recruiting of teachers to fill cohorts of our teacher qualifications in Ghana and draw numbers on our online teacher professional development platform
- Support the implementation of PR and marketing campaigns related to the sales activities of our West and East African programmes teams.
- Support the Content Marketing Specialist with creating and delivering content for various digital platforms and audiences
- Take ownership of our East and West Africa-related social media efforts.
- Build content schedules and drive engagement with target audiences, and the wider education community, in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria
- Support the management of our website, including uploading content and reviewing for effectiveness, brand alignment, user experience, and campaigns
- Market to, and develop relationships with, a range of different stakeholders including schools, higher education institutions, NGOs, the media and any others you believe will add value to our network
- Support business development activities such as events, pitches, one-on-one meetings with school leaders, etc.
- Remain up to date with both our programmes and education trends/data in West Africa
- Support in the execution of our partnerships strategy in West Africa
Selection Criteria:
- An appropriate/relevant tertiary qualification
- Social media management experience
- Proficient in the usage of spreadsheets and able to analyze data to interpret ROI and KPI metrics.
- Proficient in digital tools and platforms commonly used in marketing, such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- The candidate should be able to write clear, concise, and engaging messaging for various marketing materials, including websites, brochures, flyers, emails, social media posts, and blog articles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
