Bookkeeper

Proximity Designs is a social enterprise that relies on a blend of grant funding and earned revenue to support rural farm communities in Myanmar. We take our financial health seriously and always ensure that our finances are transparent and used impactfully. As one of our bookkeepers, you will be responsible for supporting our branch offices’ monthly and quarterly financials and make sure that branch finances adhere to international reporting standards.

Once You’re Here, You Will:

• Maintain record of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring ledger requirements compliance.
• Check sales invoices with Zoho application and update the ledger.
• Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets and Inventory Balance general ledger by preparing and reconciling entries.
• Prepare monthly township budget and reconcile variances.
• Report to Head of Territory, and Finance Lead regarding financial matters.
• Detect financial biases, risks, and mistakes and report to the management team.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (or) LCCI (or) similar accounting diploma.
• Work experience in accounting/finance.
• Detail-oriented, eager to learn and able to collaborate well with others
• Intermediate English proficiency
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
• Passion and eagerness to support the development of rural communities in Myanmar
