How does it work? We’ve built an app that works offline, and then go to more rural areas and train the health workers and independent people to be a decentralised network of field agents. They collect data on health needs, run targeted awareness and screening campaigns (which is productised and funded by a huge range of global companies) and then order and manage the distribution of private sector medicines, insurance plans and community health products! We’re now looking to enhance this platform more, and become a comprehensive, end-to-end health service for less urbanised.
This isn’t an easy task, but we’re doing it – this isn’t all talk! 5 countries, 5,500 agents trained, 50 core staff, and 500,000 lives touched so far. Most of this growth came in 2021, and we are planning to double this in the next six months too…

Who are we looking for?
reach52 is looking for a highly motivated individual to work closely with the back-end development team, to own the data solution and service that will drive the business forward and allow us to take key management decisions. The successful candidate will be able to understand business needs and produce insightful metrics and dashboards from data collected. We are starting to build a repository on Apache Cloudstack and the successful candidate will own this service and will play a major role in choosing, implementing, and enhancing the technologies that turn the data into actionable information.

Title: Data and Insights Analyst/Lead

What you’ll do
The BI Analyst will take responsibility for all information services across the organisation starting with information gathered from reach52 operational activities and expanding as resources allow, specifically:
Own data insights and visualisation work – create and manage report dashboards, and data repository that are critical for the centralization of business metrics and KPIs
Understand business requirements through engagement with stakeholders and translate the requirements into report to drive business growth
Ability to observe pattern, generate insights and provide recommendations on business and market performance based on data
Build, test and deploy visualisation tools and predictive models to enable preventative and highly targeted public health programs – both as dashboards, but also working with engineers to build proactive, automated, and data-driven public health services!
Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless capture and integration of data and systems
Continuously enhancing data management, governance, and other related processes across reach52
Collaborate on the establishment and maintenance of clean data, rich information, ensuring high data integrity at all times
Support any other data-related activities (such as ad-hoc Excel or other analysis)
Who you are (probably!)
We’re reasonably sure you should have a profile like this, but we can flex sometimes:
4-6 years’ experience as a Business Intelligence or Data Analyst, 6-8 years' experience to be considered as Lead
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Proven competence in established data analysis techniques and trend analysis
Experience in text mining to structure data, Database (MongoDB) and using Python
Experience with BI tools
Knowledge of healthcare is an advantage but not essential
Self-starter with growth mindset with the ability to pull together different resources to deliver against objectives
Excellent written and communications skills, adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Loves solving problems
Has their own reliable device and internet fit for proper work
Passion for delivering health for all
