Xylem have an exciting opportunity Reporting directly to the Engineering and Design Manager, the Automation and Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the PLC programming, bench simulation, site testing and commissioning and technical support to ensure smooth execution of the automation and commissioning aspects of treatment projects.
Key accountabilities:
Skills and experience:
Automation and control engineering background with hands-on site commissioning experience
Experience in the water and wastewater industry.
Multiple PLC programming software required – Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, and Schneider. Familiar with all IEC 61131-3 programming languages, especially:
Ladder Logic
Structured Text
Instruction List
Network configuration – Profibus, Profinet, Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP.
Instrumentation setup up and calibration procedures.
Must be able to read electrical schematics.
The ability to travel approximately 40% of your time to local and remote interstate customer sites.
