About the Job
This position will support multiple internal and external clients and projects, with the common theme of site investigation and remediation. The day-to-day work will vary and may involve data management, data mapping, statistical analyses, literature review, fieldwork, and writing. Most assignments will require teamwork, though some assignments will be conducted individually.
Responsibilities
As an Associate Scientist or Scientist your job functions will include, but not be limited to:
Performing quality assurance reviews of technical analyses and results
Performing technical tasks supporting fate and transport evaluations
Researching and summarizing technical reports and environmental data
Developing GIS maps and graphics to depict data
Supporting geologic, groundwater, and/or surface water modeling
Participating in field programs
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a B.S. or M.S. degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, environmental or civil engineering, or related technical field.
The ideal candidate will have:
3-5 years of professional experience
Experience with ArcGIS, ArcPro, or other mapping program
Field and/or laboratory experience
Proficiency with current MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally
Possess strong organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers
Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (determined by title at hire), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be pro-rated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
