The role: Associate Project Manager

Who are you?

Svante is a rapidly growing clean energy technology company making commercial-scale carbon capture and removal a reality and enabling global industries to play offence in the fight against climate change.

R&D in Svante is focusing on research efforts, development of the technology, sharing knowledge, and directly influencing downstream product development; that needs to perform different types of projects, including new development programs, Contract-base projects, and Collaborative projects with other departments of Svante (Manufacturing, business development…) to drive it.

The Associate Project Manager will assist the Project team in fulfilling the goals of a specific project and ensuring smooth delivery of assigned projects from start to finish and according to contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand a project’s scope and create documents for project requirements.
• Conduct project meetings to communicate individual roles and project expectations and ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively.
• Monitor projects on a regular basis, evaluating progress and quality, and manage issue resolution process to ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Maintain the quality of all project documents/data to assure the integrity of a project.
• Work with the project manager to report analyzed data and communicate results.
• Manage the project estimating activities.
• Adhere to standardized format guidelines and improvement activities to develop a higher standard.
• Develop additional tools and refine processes to help all projects run effectively.
• Coordinate schedule of activities related to the project.
• Help to record achievements, expenses, and measures for success.
• Monitor all project-related logistics for proper facilitation of payments.
• Analyze and discuss the potential risk or benefit involved in using the specified technology solution to address the project requirements.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years experience.

• Education: Bachelors or greater education in engineering discipline, or equivalent years of experience.

• Project Management skills, including ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects.

• PMP certification would be asset.

• Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills; ability to work with people of varied technical backgrounds and at all management levels.

• Collaborative/team player comfortable leading as well as executing and taking constructive input from multiple sources.

• Observes health & safety and security procedures and demonstrates safety-based behavior culture.

• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
