SWCA Environmental Consultants is hiring an
SWCA Environmental Consultants has an opening for a dual-role Document Coordinator and Formatter to support our Technical Editing Team. This fast-paced, office-based position requires skills in both logistics and document formatting. You will work independently to schedule 9 editors/formatters and assign and track 50+ documents per week through our editing and formatting process. The right candidate is flexible, loves logistics and communicating with people throughout the day, works well with minimal supervision, can quickly prioritize and reprioritize deadlines, and is adept in Word and Adobe Acrobat.
In your coordinator role, you will 1) assign reports to editors/formatters with an eye to prioritizing deadlines and 2) ensure that editors/formatters have a steady flow of assignments. You will facilitate clear, detailed communication between project managers and editors/formatters to ensure workflow efficiency and appropriate prioritization of assignments. In your formatting role, you will use SWCA or client/agency templates to format client deliverables in Word and Adobe Acrobat.
This is a full-time, permanent position and can be remote. Work hours are 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Mountain Time.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Command of MS Word, especially the styles function, and an understanding of templates.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Office 365, SharePoint, Zoom, and Outlook.
Excellent organizational and logistical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork.
Excellent attention to detail; ability to track and follow through on rapid-fire emails and requests.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and establish priorities under tight deadlines.
Ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility throughout the day as project schedules and needs change.
