Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. The position full-time is responsible for developing and overseeing the response/ recovery projects to help impacted communities. Specific project responsibilities are coupled with management opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions
- Support the PM to develop the project scope-of-work, milestones, updating timelines and budgets accurately, updating the necessary tracking systems e.g. Salesforce, LW tracking, MS Project, and supporting with volunteer management.
- Support the PM in everything related to drawings and plans for the correct understanding of the project. Support in the explanation of the drawings and plans to the rest of the construction team.
- Support the PM in the quality control review, including visiting work sites on a regular basis.
- Support the PM to establish and develop clear work and safety practices for the project and communicate these with site teams (Construction Site Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Site Supervisor Trainees, Masons and Team Leaders).
- Supports the Project Manager in the development, implementation, and review of the Health, Safety and Security procedures for sites, including Risk Assessments.
- Cover the PM when he/she is on break as well as cover any construction crew personnel if necessary.
- Support the PM and the construction team in the organization of monthly breaks to have a clear structure and organization of the coverage for the proper functioning of the program.
- Continuously develop and evaluate the project scope, quality and impact, through a meaningful
monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Support the PM to provide supportive leadership, manage a diverse staff team, volunteers and local workers, and empower them to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.
- Support Logistics Coordinator to implement efficient procurement processes for the project sites. Support the PM and LC to design and oversee the process of hiring and vetting subcontractors and construction suppliers.
- Support the Project Manager in compiling program specific fortnightly reports for the organization.
- Support the PM to oversee the training of the Site Supervisors, Site Supervisor Trainees and the Mason Training Program.
- Work close to the Community Coordinator in the development and implementation of renewal projects.
- To be considered for this position you must be fully vaccinated. Subject to applicable guidance, the term fully vaccinated currently refers to when an individual has received either a single-shot vaccine or both doses of a two-shot vaccine, and two weeks have elapsed since the final dose.

Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Civil or structural engineering degree preferred.
- Related Experience: Must have technical experience working in construction. All Hands and Hearts experience is preferable, but not required.
- Special Competencies/Certifications: Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets and Microsoft Office. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate is $1250-$1550USD/ month, based on position, skills and experience
