About the role:
We are looking for Assistant Ecologists to help us with the upcoming season. You will be a key member of the ecology team, assisting our Lead Ecologists with ecological surveys, analysing, and presenting data. This is an exciting opportunity at Ecosulis for someone to build on existing knowledge and skill sets, with potential career development opportunities.
Main responsibilities include:
Providing support to our ecology team.
Working across a diverse range of projects.
Assisting on a wide variety of ecological surveys including reptile translocation.
Capture, compilation, and submission of survey data
Report writing and data digitalisation.
This is an entry level position, so no previous experience is required – just a passion for the natural world and a desire to make a difference. You will get out in the field and have hands on experience, gaining an insight into the day-to-day life working for an ecological consultancy. You will also have the chance to further your knowledge about the different UK habitats and species.
About you:
You will ideally be highly organised and motivated, showing ambition and drive to start a career within the ecological sector. You will have the ability to work as part of a team, showing excellent attention to detail within your work. Strong communication and listening skills are also key.
You must have a full UK driving licence & use of own vehicle.
It would be desirable for you to also have:
Training for First Aid and CSCS can be provided by the company if needed.
