SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, a member organization of SOS-Kinderdorf International, provides total care to the children who have lost their parents as well as the children who are at risk of losing the care of their biological family. The organization has well established Projects in Piliyandala, Nuwaraeliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Jaffna, Gandara, Peraliya, and Malpotha & Mallavi and invites applications from highly committed individuals who meet the requisite qualifications for the following position.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - YOUTH CARE (LOCATION – NATIONAL OFFICE, PILIYANDALA)
Job Role:
The Assistant Director Youth Care is responsible for all matters of the former children and for the services of the youth who are being cared at all SOS Youth Facilities. He reports to the Director-Programmes and accountable to the National Director in developing and implementing the aims and objectives established by the organization for its Youth Facilities. The Assistant Director Youth Care (ADYC) will closely work with the Village Directors, Project Heads and Departmental Heads of the National Office of SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka.
The ADYC provides strategic direction to the Heads of SOS Youth Facilities and to those who are engaged in delivering services to the former children. This includes all services to the youth to proceed towards higher levels of achievements in their academic/vocational and career lives and prevention of dependency of the former children of the organization. The ADYC will demonstrate a proactive coordinated multidisciplinary approach towards his responsibilities in order to promote young people to achieve their optimum potential.
