We are looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join our team of sell-side contract management professionals.

As Assistant Commercial Manager you would be responsible for giving advice on all legal, contractual, risk and business decisions. As well as supporting the business to win successful contracts on appropriate contract terms with clients as diverse as the European Commission, BEIS, NEOM, Thames Water and Coca Cola.

This role would be suitable for you if:

• You’re looking for a legal assistant role with the opportunity to progress.
• You have some working knowledge or academic background in commercial contract law.
• Proficient levels of written, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Experience and qualifications are not required for this role, as we are committed to providing comprehensive training including membership and certification with the World Commerce and Contracting association. Your role may involve:

• Working closely with project and opportunity managers and the Bid Team.
• Providing know your customer evaluations.
• Supporting sales and bidding activity with commercial risk assessment, mitigation, and management.
• Leading contractual negotiations with clients including payment schedules, intellectual property, liability, and insurance.
• Liaison with Ricardo Group Risk and insurers and with the Finance team.
• Dispute resolution.
• Delivery of commercial risk awareness training to the business.
