JOB PURPOSE

NP Iraq is seeking a casual worker to conduct a comprehensive assets inventory of its Erbil office and Guesthouses and update the existing assets register. This task is essential to ensure accurate records of office property and facilitate efficient management.

OBJECTIVES

  • To conduct a thorough inventory of all offices and guesthouse assets, including furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • To update the existing assets register with accurate information, including asset description, serial number, purchase date, and value.
  • To reconcile the inventory results with the existing register to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  • To provide recommendations for improving asset management practices and preventing losses.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Inventory:
    • Conduct a physical inventory of all office and guesthouses assets located at NP Erbil premises.
    • Record detailed information about each asset, including:
      • Asset description
      • Serial number (if applicable)
      • Purchase date
      • Purchase value and related grant
      • Location within the office
    • Tag the assets as necessary for identification and verification.
  • Register Update:
    • Update the existing assets register with the inventory data.
    • Verify the accuracy of existing register entries against the inventory results.
    • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
    • Add new assets to the register as needed.
  • Recommendations:
    • Provide recommendations for improving asset management practices, such as:
      • Asset tagging and labeling
      • Regular asset checks and maintenance
      • Disposal procedures
      • Insurance coverage

DELIVERABLES

  • A comprehensive inventory report containing detailed information about NP Erbil offices and Guesthouses assets.
  • An updated assets register with accurate and complete data.

Confidentiality

The casual worker will be required to maintain confidentiality of all NP Iraq information and data accessed during the course of the assignment.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

The consultant should have experience in:

  • Conducting asset inventories
  • Updating and maintaining asset registers
  • Analyzing and interpreting asset data
  • Preparing detailed reports
  • Hands on the use of Microsoft excel

The casual worker will be under the supervision of the Logistics Officer.
