Ashoka Spain - Communication & Marketing Director

Position at Ashoka

We are looking for a committed and innovative person, with experience in strengthening brands and leading communication strategies, and who wants to use communication to generate a positive social impact.

What you will do

1.    Design and lead the implementation of an innovative brand and communication strategy that increases the impact of Ashoka Spain and its community of innovation leaders. This strategy includes:

• Develop and implement external and internal communication plans (with our community)
• Lead the communication of all Ashoka Spain activities, including our events, our alliance strategy and our calls for projects
• Lead the production of digital content for our social networks, our website and other communication channels
• Strengthen and expand our relationship with the media and other relevant actors.

2.    Represent Ashoka Spain, including participating in presentations and conferences, writing opinion pieces etc.

3.    Support other team members to develop messages, design products, and generate items when needed.

4.    Collaborate with the European communication team and participate in global events.

Who we are looking for

• An entrepreneurial and innovative person who approaches work with passion and energy, who is able to effectively coordinate multiple groups, including our social entrepreneurs, our donors and our team, to deliver on communication campaigns
• Experience of at least 5 years in a similar corporate communication management position, preferably in the social sector
• Strong experience in digital communication, including metrics analysis.
• Demonstrable experience in the management of relations with media and communication and public relations agencies.
• Be bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Know how to handle pressure and deadlines, as well as being able to manage multiple initiatives at once.
• Passion for the social sector and specifically for social entrepreneurship.
• Enjoy working as a team.

Conditions

• Indefinite contract (trial period of 6 months)
• Gross annual salary: 35,000 – 40,000 euros according to experience (plus 10% pay for performance based on established criteria)
• Dedication: 40 Hours/week
• Start date: September 2022
• Workplace: Spain (the city of residence is flexible, but preferably Madrid or Barcelona)
