The Area Sales Manager is a motivated, dedicated, and outgoing individual focused on the day-to-day field operations of a sales team, including: personal sales, recruiting, hiring, training, management and discipline. Responsible for ensuring sales goals and objectives are met, correct representation of the company and compliance with company rules and safety guidelines. This is a full-time exempt position located in San Diego, CA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Area Sales Manager role requires, but is not limited to:
- In field sales 3 days per week
- Coaches and develops team to ensure goals are met
- Van driver: transports sales representatives in company vehicle throughout assigned territory as needed
- Recruits, trains, on-boards, and manages new hires.
- Assign territory/mapping locations.
- Performance management
- Conducts informative, engaging, and motivational sales meetings
- Expense Reports
- Rep time card verification/mileage validation
- Schedules teams for events and daily schedules.
- Upholds company safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to get along and work effectively with others is required
- Regular, predictable attendance is required

- Record keeping (daily performance notice and application uploads)
- General office/facilities management
- Troubleshoot/liaison team network, system, payroll, and customer relations issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Direct Sales and Marketing experience and a knowledge of personnel management required.
- Must have current California Driver's License and proof of insurance or insurability. Must have a clean DMV record
