The ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC) is an action-oriented group of investors working in agriculture and food systems. CLIC aims to rapidly scale-up the finance necessary to shift towards low-carbon and climate-resilient agriculture and food systems globally, thus delivering on the ambitions of the Glasgow Breakthrough Agenda on Agriculture agreed at COP26. CPI runs the Secretariat for CLIC.
Position Summary
CPI is recruiting for an Analyst/Senior Analyst position offering an exciting opportunity to support CPI’s work in climate finance for agrifood systems more widely as well as the running of the ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC)[1] and the CLIC’s Agrifood Investment Connector.
Reporting to the Manager, The Connector, the Analyst/Senior Anal****yst for The Connector will support the technical delivery of the Connector workstream. We are looking for a professional with experience supporting early-stage enterprises in raising private and public funding. or investments in (agri) businesses and a passion for scaling investment in climate and nature in agrifood systems in developing countries. You will have experience drawing on methodologies from economics, finance, public policy, and other disciplines.
You will gain exposure to a wide array of stakeholders in both the agriculture and food systems space as well as impact investment space, whilst drawing on the CPI world class technical team focused on scaling-up and accelerating finance for agriculture and food systems globally.
You will need to quickly develop a solid understanding of the CPI and CLIC mission in the climate finance for agrifood systems space as well as the CPI/CLIC stakeholders and partners that drive it. You will also be asked to forge partnerships with organisations including government clients, investors, funders, agribusiness accelerators, deal rooms and relevant technical assistance (TA) programs in emerging and developing economies.

This position is a full-time, 2 year, fixed term position based in our London Office.
CPI has adopted a flexible working policy whereby staff are able to mix working remotely with regular days in the London office (particularly helpful for interacting with the wider CPI team, specific team meetings and collaboration).
This position role could be at one of two levels: Analyst or Senior Analyst. We are interested in applications from both experienced Senior Analysts, but also candidates who would consider themselves more junior (Analyst), but believe they have the skills and competencies to grow into a Senior Analyst role.
