ABOUT LOW CARBON TRANSITION WORKSTREAM
CPI’s Low Carbon Transition work stream focuses on analysing decarbonization pathways of energy, industry, mobility and related sectors. The workstream combines economic impacts with an array of policy tools and financial instruments and mechanisms to address transition impacts and create opportunities for sustainable development.
The objective of CPI’s Low Carbon Transition work stream in India is to create comprehensive sectoral transition frameworks, structured around utilization of limited public funds, international development capital and carbon finance to navigate transition related risks. The intended outcome of the work stream is to inform and build institutional capacity on how to manage the risks of low-carbon energy transitions while minimizing the cost and maximizing the opportunities for stakeholders. Under this programme, CPI is actively engaging with policy makers at a regional level, civil society and academic institutions, financial institutions, and state-owned enterprises.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Analyst will be part of the Low Carbon Transition team in India and will undertake robust and careful analysis to develop sectoral transition frameworks, policy recommendations and financial mechanisms, drawing on methodologies from economics, finance, public policy and other disciplines.
In addition to analytical work, the Analyst will support the communication and continued engagement with a range of national and international partners from the policy, finance, and corporate spheres, as well as with other CPI teams globally.
The Analyst’s primary focus will be on Low Carbon Transition Finance but will form an integral part of the CPI Climate Finance team and have the opportunity to collaborate with other Climate Finance programs.

TITLE & LOCATION
Analyst, Low Carbon Energy Transition Finance is a full-time position based in our India office in New Delhi. CPI has adopted a flexible working policy whereby staff are able to mix working remotely with regular (weekly) days in the office (particularly helpful for interacting with the wider CPI team, specific team meetings and collaboration).
CPI offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Compensation will be commensurate with experience of the candidate and in line with CPI’s compensation structure.
