The Strategy & Insights (S&I) Department champions insight-driven prioritization across PSI, ensuring we are “doing the right things” even as we work on “doing things right.” The department promotes best practice in program design, marketing discipline, research, learning, and strategy development. S&I works with other departments to systematically capture, synthesize, and share internal and external evidence, consumer and market insights, competitive market intelligence, and program experience to guide global, market level, and program level strategy.
PSI seeks an Advisor II, Market Dynamics that will Contribute to shaping PSI's organizational positioning across all departments and functions by supporting identification and application of current and emerging strategic practices, trends, and insights across a single or multiple disciplines to inform organizational direction. Contribute to executing PSI's strategy by supporting the development and delivery of guidance to PSI's network to ensure high-quality execution of market dynamics opportunities. Begin to liaise with a variety of high-level stakeholders across PSI and develop external relationships in market dynamics. Provide technical assistance to initiatives by programs and network members, across all PSI health areas, to advance PSI's market dynamics interests. Work with team Head to synthesize market dynamics insights for global influencing and fundraising. Set priorities with an increasing level of independence.
Salary Range:
$86,000 (MINIMUM) - $108,000 (MID-POINT) - $130,000 (MAXIMUM)
For US-based candidates, the annual base salary range is reflected above.* We value transparency and have provided the full salary range for this role. Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, external market analysis, and other business factors permitted by law. Hiring above the mid-point of the range would not be typical in order to allow for potential future salary growth. Your contributions
-Insights: Monitor practices and trends affecting PSI's global strategy. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of PSI's evolving portfolio of projects, with an understanding of market dynamics positioning. May support the design, execution, and evaluation of PSI's strategic programming. 35% of Time
-Capacity Building: Identify needs and develop materials and training to build capacity of PSI staff at all appropriate levels to design and execute market dynamics programming and organizational positioning. 25% of Time
-Program Management: Lead the execution of short, medium, and long-term market shaping initiatives, including identifying key steps, developing of workplans, and tracking the execution of these initiatives. 10% of Time
-Representation: Develop collateral to represent PSI's market dynamics work internally and externally. Increasingly represent PSI's strategic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. 10% of Time
-Thought Leadership: Identify and curate best practice market dynamics approaches for organizational and/or programmatic positioning, across all health areas and at all levels of the organization. Identify opportunities to incorporate and implement state-of-the-art practices within PSI at appropriate levels. 10% of Time
-Fundraising: Lead the incorporation of state-of-the-art market dynamics approaches to PSI fundraising efforts. 10% of Time

What are we looking for?
-Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field.
-Master’s Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field preferred.
-At least 7 years of high-impact, related work experience. Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.
-Passion for driving strategic change in the interest of improved global health outcomes.
-Experience working in an international context.
-Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in market dynamics.
-Ability to provide technical assistance to PSI network with minimal support.
-Ability to share knowledge internally and externally with communities of practice.
-Ability to produce technical products and tools with minimal oversight and direction.
-Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external colleagues. Able to work as a member of a team and independently.
-Ability to lead development of market dynamics approach for proposals with oversight.
-Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
-Demonstrate emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate with colleagues.
-Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Familiarity with a quantitative or qualitative data analysis program preferred.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in a relevant language other than English preferred.
