Admissions Coordinator

Instill’s mission is to transform teaching, learning and leadership in every classroom on the African continent. We believe that the greatest levers for change in the education system are teachers and school leaders. We have recently been accredited as a higher education institution in South Africa, and seek to build a team that will change the face of teacher education across the continent. We’re looking for an Admissions Coordinator to join our small and growing team to ensure the success of our first cohorts of student-teachers.

What does this role entail?

In this role, you will be responsible for the processing of the full time and part time admissions functions from the point of supporting the application process to graduation, to ensure campus compliance to relevant Instill policies in support of the Student Affairs Manager.

Student Application Administration

• Assist the student recruitment team to respond to queries from applicants.
• Work to resolve applicant queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Student Registration Administration

• Check applications for completion and that applicants meet admission criteria before capturing.

• Capture and register students on the Student Information System, assisting students with the process where necessary.

• Accept de-registration, transfer and cancellation requests to send to Principal for approval, the process the application outcome and necessary documentation and send to Finance for processing.

• Check National Senior Certificate (NSC) exception reports on a weekly basis.

• Create and maintain all student files, including following up for outstanding documentation.

• Scan all documentation and load to student profiles after registration.

• Track and monitor conditional admissions throughout the year.

Student Life Cycle Administration

• Draft letters to current students e.g. Proof of Registration, Travel, Medical Aid and study permit letters.

• Maintain and update student records.

Graduation

• Support any students who are graduating outside their graduation year (exception graduates).

• Verify student information for prospective graduates.

• Facilitate qualification certificate reprints.
