SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, a member organization of SOS-Kinderdorf International, provides total care to the children who have lost their parents as well as the children who are at risk of losing the care of their biological family. The organization has well established Projects in Piliyandala, Nuwaraeliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Jaffna, Gandara, Peraliya, Malpotha and Mallavi invites applications from highly committed individuals who meet the requisite qualifications for the position given below.

EDUCATOR –FEMALE (CHILDREN’S VILLAGE – MONARAGALA)

Candidates for this position should have Degree or Diploma in Sociology, Psychology, Education or equivalent.  She should have training or experience in teaching, sports & educational activities, career guidance, child psychology, counseling and youth services.

Duties will include the development of children and youth’s educational and extra curricular programs, assisting and guiding to resolve personal, social or psychological problems faced by children and youth, conducting study programs and liaison work with school principals and teachers.

This is a RESIDENTIAL POSITION and the selected candidate will have to reside at the Children’s Village in Monaragala.  Single residential accommodation including utilities will be will be provided by the organization and meals will be provided at subsidized rates.

Candidates with a true passion for working with children and youth will be given preference. Candidates must be able to work in a computerized office environment. Those who are committed and willing to put in the extra mile are strongly desired.
