Our specialist acoustics team works on projects throughout the world, the team provide consultancy services to clients both independently and as part of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary offering on larger projects across a variety of sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join the Acoustics team in our Melbourne office.
You will bring passion, drive and technical expertise and you will be responsible for acoustic input into a wide range of environmental and built environment engineering projects.
Supporting the delivery of projects attendance and input at design meetings and providing clear advice to clients, architects and engineers (internal and external) on design issues relating to acoustics, noise and vibration will be crucial.
The technical duties will include preparing fee proposals for acoustics, noise and vibration assessments, management of noise monitoring and acoustic testing programmes, liaising with clients, acquisition and collation of data, computer modelling, noise and vibration monitoring, noise and vibration measurements, calculations and processing of results, interpretation of data, and production of technical reports and specifications. A good working knowledge of environmental and building acoustics will be critical.
Educated to degree level in Acoustic Engineering or another relevant discipline, your career to-date has seen you develop your acoustic expertise within a consultancy environment where you have gained an in-depth understanding of environmental and building related acoustic work stream. You have proven experience of providing your expertise to internal team members and third parties, including clients, contractors and architects, and have proven yourself as a highly effective manager of staff.
Overall, this role requires a high level of relevant expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for excellence in Acoustic Engineering.
