Accreditation Leader: Ghana

Instill Education is on a mission to transform teaching, learning, and leadership in every classroom on the African continent. We believe that our teachers and school leaders are the greatest levers for change in the education system.  We recently became an accredited higher education institution in South Africa and launched a game-changing mobile app that offers self-paced, bite-sized modules to help teachers in their professional development journey. More than 50,000 teachers in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria have already enrolled in our professional development modules and joined a pan-African community of peers and experts who provide support and feedback along the way.

We are looking to hire an Accreditation Leader to support the development of higher education offerings for teachers in Ghana.

What does the role entail?

As the Accreditation Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that Instill Education complies with all relevant regulatory standards and that our programmes and qualifications meet the GTEC standard for accreditation.

More specifically you will;

• Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance policies and procedures in accordance with the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission’s regulatory framework and best practices
• Lead and oversee the process of getting programmes accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, including writing and copy editing of accreditation materials
• Provide advice and support to staff on regulatory and quality assurance matters including the development of programme specifications, course descriptors, and assessment criteria
• Represent Instill Education to various regulatory and quality assurance bodies and participate in sector-wide quality assurance initiatives
• Conduct audits and reviews of programmes and courses to ensure that they meet Instill Education’s quality standards and regulatory requirements

Selection Criteria:

• Master’s degree in Education (a specialisation in education policy advantageous)
• At least 5 years experience in a similar role
• Incredible attention to detail
• Experience in higher education quality assurance
• Familiar in the accreditation processes of the GTEC
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for higher education institutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional project management  and relationship building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
