You are a hands-on payable processor with an ability to collect, review, monitor and record project related invoices and expense reports. Through this work, you’ve also gained experience related to full cycle accounts payable functions. You enjoy working with technical staff to correctly post expenses to their projects. About the Job

We are currently seeking an accounts payable specialist for our Finance and Accounting business area. The position will support project level financial reporting.  The day-to-day work will vary and may involve data input and management, clear communication with technical staff, and the ability to develop new processes and procedures if necessary. Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your job functions will include, but not be limited to:

• Maintaining common AP inbox for project invoices and expense reports, checking vendor statements to verify up-to-date status and replying to vendors and tech staff in a timely, cohesive manner
• Adding new vendors to Vantagepoint by gathering W-9’s, ACH information, verifying bank information and maintaining COI’s
• Working with vendors and tech staff to identify urgent payments for bi-weekly payment run

Qualifications

Candidates should hold an accounting degree or have strong accounting knowledge and experience. Experience with Deltek is required to be considered for this role.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable
• Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally
• Possess strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers
• Cross train with team members

Annual Salary Range: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (10 days), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be pro-rated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
