What You Will Do

• For 15 hours/week you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements and ensure financial accuracy.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
• Adding employee expense reports into accounting system post approvals
• File GST/HST on a monthly basis.
• Assist with EHT filings and prepare T4/ T4A forms
• Prepare detailed reporting (through class and department tagging) and analyze financial reports for management review.
• Assist with preparing payments post three-way-matching
• Assist with automation of manual bookkeeping tasks
• Work closely with the finance team to support financial audits.
• Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and best practices.

Skills We’re Seeking

• 3+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Netsuite).

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
