Job overview at a glance

Assistant accountant is a new role to support the business growth in ESG reporting. The assistant accountant will focus on revenue recognition and revenue related balance sheet items. Apart from bookkeeping function, the assistant accountant will have opportunity to engage in budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue focus – maintain the revenue recognition tracker for one of our leading ESG Business Units
  • Responsible for month-end closing on revenue G/L accounting including receivable and deferred revenue
  • Prepare account receivable aging schedule to track past-due receivables for monthly reporting package
  • Support Assistant Accounting Manager in revenue analysis, such as Price / Volume analysis and variance analysis for management review
  • Support other ad-hoc tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or other related disciplines with LCCI Level 3
  • 1-2 years’ relevant experience in a similar capacity
  • Agile and embrace change for better
  • Cheerful personality, team player with good interpersonal skill
  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues, hold self and other accountable to achieve goals and resolve problems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Fresh Graduate in related discipline also welcomed
