Job Overview
The Account Manager, Member Universities (Account Manager) is responsible for account management and general administrative operations supporting the university partnerships and Account Management Member Universities Team (Account Management Team) in a variety of projects that support the member university portfolio. The Account Manager will interact with a wide range of universities and will take the lead in account management with some of the universities. This position works closely with the Account Management Team and other stakeholders to optimize day-to-day operations and ensure they perform in a manner that supports partnership growth and student success. The Account Manager reports to the Executive Director, Partner Operations – Member Universities.
The Account Manager is a strategic thinker who drives operational efficiencies and focuses on long-term process improvements. He/She/They is/are a problem solver with strong attention to detail and outstanding oral and written communication skills. The Account Manager is a passionate leader and energetic team player with an international outlook who builds brand awareness. He/She/They has/have strong customer service skills that build and maintain relationships with a wide range of external partners. The Account Manager is comfortable multitasking, adjusts quickly to shifting priorities, and manages time efficiently.
Essential Functions:
Account Management
· Meet periodically with university partners admissions teams to review pipeline, manage expectations, and provide guidance in an effort to optimize ways for partners to find international recruitment success
· Ensure notes on meetings, discussions, and outcomes are clear and maintained in the CRM
· Identify and communicate trends for university partners to generate an increase in application throughput and conversions to enrolled students
· Escalate outstanding issues to the Account Management Team
Data Management and Reporting
· Lead the financial reconciliation process with university partners each semester, validating student arrivals, gathering required financial and academic data, and ensuring that Salesforce is appropriately updated
· Support the revenue forecasting process by reviewing student confirmation statuses, historical discounting rates, and average selling price to ensure forecast accuracy
· Lead annual audits on pricing, dates, and areas of study to ensure backend and customer-facing data changes are aligned
· Liaise with university staff in key departments at partner universities to ensure accurate reporting and data flow
Process Optimization
· Analyze and evaluate current operational workflows, identify areas of improvement, and work with internal key stakeholders to determine solutions and increase efficiency
· Liaise with Shorelight leadership to optimize areas of responsibility and cross-functional effectiveness
· Identify and communicate trends/insights in the enrollment funnel to promote campus outreach and more accurate follow up with partners that will generate an increase in conversions and retention
· Leverage technology to support a data-driven approach to streamline team usage and application of predictive analytics
· Create reports and dashboards that provide data visibility, easy data verification for stakeholders, and ensure resource initiatives are optimized for the Account Management Team
· Carry out, support, and optimize efficient standardized process for workflows including enrollment verification, progression, and ancillary tracking through semesterly training sessions and upkeep of Spark articles
· Liaise with the Technology team for ongoing optimization of back-end support
· Aid department stakeholders to ensure efficient communication of needs and reporting requirements are met
· Ensure revenue opportunities are recognized with the Sales and Admissions Teams by maintaining data tracking mechanisms for new and progressed students
Security
· Comply with Shorelight Written Information Security Policy, and all other Shorelight Information Security Policies and Procedures
· Take responsibility for any Shorelight assets assigned to you
· Promptly report any security events, incidents, or weaknesses to Shorelight Security
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
· 2+ years of office management experience
· Eligibility to work in and travel freely to and from the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in a business-related field
· Customer service and/or account management experience
· Knowledge of basic accounting practices, financial analysis, and budget management experience
· Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, Marketing, or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
