Help us protect our oceans and rivers from plastic pollution by getting Bubble Barrier projects off the ground. As an Account Manager at The Great Bubble Barrier, you will be working within the Business Development team to pull in new projects.

Why we exist
Plastic pollution is a worldwide problem. Even with an advanced waste management infrastructure, canals and rivers still show a significant pollution with plastics. That’s why we created The Great Bubble Barrier. Our mission is to stop plastic pollution in rivers and canals before it reaches our oceans… with bubbles! By recovering plastic debris early on, we minimise its negative impact on the environment. Joining The Great Bubble Barrier means you’ll be joining our fight for cleaner rivers and oceans.

What will you do
As an Account Manager, you are responsible for bringing in new Bubble Barrier projects. You will be actively looking for new clients and project partners as well as follow up on incoming requests. You maintain an overview of all current leads, follow them up using our sales process and you are only satisfied when there is a signature for a new project. You convert interested parties into active clients and project partners for the realisation of large water infrastructure projects. You independently negotiate contracts and adapt to the client needs within our company guidelines and values to convince them to commit to real impact.

You will be supported by the Business Development team and share a weekly update on progress and strategic plans. Together with your Marketing & Communication colleagues, you ensure that our mission reaches potential clients. You will also get in touch with our engineers to assess whether locations are suitable for a Bubble Barrier. The entire team works closely together for our common mission: to stop plastic from reaching our oceans.

The Great Bubble Barrier

The Great Bubble Barrier thegreatbubblebarrier.com

The Great Bubble Barrier is a Dutch social enterprise, which developed an effective technology to stop plastic pollution in rivers before it flows into our oceans, using bubbles.

Too much of the waste that our society produces ends up in the water, where it damages marine and human life. Sea turtles and fish get caught up in plastic, ships are obstructed in their paths, and microplastics form a health hazard for the smallest to the largest organisms. Plastic soup is recognised as a international problem more and more, by both the general public, municipalities, government and the European Union.
